There are times when you need to want to share a particular
task with someone else. You want to demonstrate to a client
how you are able to perform a particular feature, or you want
to share it with a colleague and keep a record of it so that
you can refer back to it at a later point in time.
Loom is a really good
Chrome extension that helps you record something on your
browser or on your computer and immediately get the link
available to be shared with others without you having to do
the process of upload and wait for a few minutes. This may
seem very trivial, but I personally have benefitted from it a
lot. I used it with a few clients, and I also used it with a
few of my colleagues to share some of the work that I wanted
to describe so that they can actually better understand me
what I am saying.
This is not just a simpler way to
understand for the person that it is aimed for. This process
of sharing a procedure is actually a lot easier for you as
well, as you can save yourself time from having to write a
long paragraph, capture a few screenshots here and there and
only then put everything together.
There are other
alternatives to Loom,
but I found this is the first one that I found after a friend
recommended it to me as a free tool and I have been using it
since then.
