YouTube represents one of the biggest databases on the
internet, which gives you access to a lot of videos that you
cannot watch in your lifetime. It also represents a really
good place for great motivational speeches, university
lectures, tutorials, and many things.
ActiveAdmin gem is really helpful, as it gives you the
opportunity to get admin dashboards in just a few minutes,
without having to do everything manually on your own.
Python represents one of the most popular languages that many
people use it in data science and machine learning, web
development, scripting, automation, etc.
Have you ever wanted to clear your browser’s cache in an
easier way? Maybe you wanted to clear it without having to go
through so many pages, options and having to deal with pop-ups
that ask you whether you are certain of what you are currently
doing. How about having this right in your browser’s toolbar?
I recently published an article about social skills that can
help Software Developers have better professional lives, and
also better lives in general.
YouTube is now one of the most distracting platform on the
internet, due to its large amount of content that is uploaded
on a regular basis and also because it is easier to use than,
say, read articles on Medium. We can go there to watch
something, but there can be many comments, or recommended
videos on the side that take up a lot of our attention and our
time. We may not even be aware and simply go and open another
video in a new tab, which can lead to two or three other
related videos opened. This downward spiral wastes our time
and energy and as a result, we are not inspired to work and
work on our projects, or dedicate our efforts on important
things.
One great thing about Github is that you have the issues
section, in which you can see recommendations or requests for
help related to a particular project. There you can find many
comments, where developers may be complaining about a bug,
offering a solution, or simply pointing out something they
want to see included in the project. If you want to quickly
navigate through these comments and jump right into the ones
that have had considerable reactions, then you can try to
install this Chrome extension.
I really do not like keeping my email open all the time. It
can be disturbing and as a way of procrastination and avoiding
to work on the things that really matter. However, there can
be cases when we may be very interested in getting an answer
for a particular email, but do not want to constantly open our
email tab every minute.
Vim is a really popular text editor which, although a bit old
in comparison to other alternatives, is still used quite a
lot. About two years ago, I wrote an
article
about Vim, which turned out to catch a lot of attention.
Today, I am writing a short article about a quick reference
for Vim.
