Have you ever tried to ask a lot of people about the same topic, looking for an advice and then you never even started following any of it, because you did not know which one to follow? If this scenario is familiar to you, then that is because you have gotten a lot of advice that might have come from different perspectives. All these advice could have been overwhelming to you, and you did not have any clue where to start.
In such cases, maybe you were not looking for an advice at all, but you were only trying to find excuses and approvals from other people. That is probably because you were afraid, or you did not have a compelling and clear goal, or you did not have any intrinsic reason that could move you forward towards your target. During this time, you might be accusing the others that they did not recommend you the perfect plan, or that you did not have enough resources. In fact, it would be better to follow at least one plan and focus on the implementation of it, instead of blaming your deficiency of resources as the reason that is likely another item on your excuse-list that keeps growing every time you have something important to accomplish.
I would recommend to start having clear goals and powerful reasons to motivate you. In addition to that, if you find yourself that you are afraid of starting, ask yourself: What is the worst thing that could happen? This question has served me a lot in the future, especially, in a research-contest that I participated last year. Samurai-warriors have been thinking a lot about death, because that was a very probable calamity that could hit them daily, because they were warriors. Steve Jobs also was among the ones that said that remembered death as a tool of selecting priorities that he would be most gladly to accomplish while he is alive.
Now that you come reading up to this point, first I would like to congratulate you. Assuming that you did not only skimmed the previous paragraphs, but actually read and thought about them, I hope these lines could serve as a help to you. Remember that starting with something is better than not starting at all. People who do their job is not always because they do not have fear, but because they act in spite of fear.
