There are times when you may need to have a lot of tabs open, and navigating through them can be a bit painful, as your list can be too crowded that you are not able to read any title from the list of tabs. You can only view the icons of your tabs. There is a great Chrome extension that allows you to search through your tabs and navigate through them by only using your keyboard.
It is called TabSwitcher, and it is intended to help increase your productivity by decreasing the amount of time needed to find the right tab just when you need it. You can write the title of the tab that you want to navigate to, use the up and down arrows in your keyboard to go up and down he list and open the tab you want, or close any tab that you do not need anymore.
You can use the Enter key in your keyboard, or your mouse click to choose the tab.
You can use ; to close the selected tab.
Once you install it, you need to refresh the opening tab and then use the following keys: COMMAND+SHIFT+K or CTRL+SHIFT+K.
It even works searching through tabs that are part of multiple windows.
TabSwitcher does not work on the new Chrome tab, and for the time being, neither Google Docs, based on my own experience.

The author of this great plugin is the author of Githunt, which displays trending open source projects on your new tab in Github, and is very active in the open source community.
There is another great Chrome extension called The Great Suspender that deactivates inactive tabs, which as a result, decreases your RAM usage which you can also like.
