I recently learned about a new developer related site that I really liked. It is a place where many recordings of conferences about software development have been listed.
This site is called dev.tube and recently appeared on ProductHunt, where I initially learned about it.
It is open source, and you can contribute to the source code of the site, and even change the YouTube video details that have been embedded in there.
It has a search functionality that helps you search for specific related to the videos that have been already added. It also has a list of some of the most common tags related to the existing videos. Moreover, it also displays a list of famous conference speakers, that you can use to filter your results to display only particular speakers.
One of the developers of dev.tube, named Eduards Sizovs has recently been active on HackerNews, answering some of the questions that people had regarding the site. He did not hesitate to do a lot promises in terms of improvements and implementations of new features that he and the other developer that have initiated this site, plan to implement. One of them is the option for filtering videos based on their length, and another one is changing the watch button to make the entire video card clickable.
You can view its source code, and also contribute with your suggestions about the videos that you want to have include in the list. It is open source, and you can contribute to the source code of the site, and even change the YouTube video details that have been embedded in there.
At the time of the writing, there are thousands of videos that have been added, and more more videos may be on their way there.
