There are a lot of things that we currently do not have and wish we had, despite the fact that we have a lot of other ones that a lot of other people only dream about. We tend to always look for more things, and aspire to have more, and we forget to appreciate what we currently possess. It is no secret that we might never get all the things that we might want to have, because it is almost impossible.
Rather than chasing a new Ferrari or the latest smartphone that has been released, try to become grateful for what you currently possess.
When was the last time you stopped and pondered and felt grateful for all the things that you have?
The famous best-selling author, Tony Robbins, in a recent interview said, “Success without fulfillment is the ultimate failure.” He said this quote, indicating that we should be grateful for what we currently have and use it as a side wing with the pursuit of our goals.
Rather than always complaining and trying to look for things that you do not have, try to step back and have the courage to appreciate and be content about the things that you currently possess.
- You might have not been yet able to become a millionaire, but you might at least be privileged and have the opportunity to be employed, for which you should be grateful.
- You might have not been able to eat at your favorite luxurious restaurant, but at the very least you have had food to eat every single day.
- You might have not been able to have your six pack abs yet, but you have had enough money to enroll at a local gym.
- You might have not been able to have the most beautiful mansion in your city, but you have always had a roof above your head.
These are only a few cases that we most definitely take for granted and do not take a moment aside to value them as we should. There are a lot of other things that deserve more from our attention and appreciation, and we should regularly remind ourselves about them.
There are things that we didn’t do anything, and yet we are blessed to have them. Our eyes, our body, our heart, our parents, our opportunity to live and experience. Each time you start to look and get interested about what’s missing, try to appreciate and feel content about you already have.
